PATHFINDER ORIENTEERING
May 4th - 7th 2012
Venue: Warril View
Cost: Cost will be $10.00 per person which covers the cost for printing maps and booklet.
Directions: Take the Cunningham hwy 20-30 mins south of Ipswich (the route will be signposted from Warrill View to the actual site – about five minutes).
Start: Orienteering will start at close of Sabbath and will conclude on Monday around lunchtime. Camping will begin from Friday afternoon onwards.
Available Equipment/Facilities: Camping area, Water, Toilets and compass (a deposit of $5 is required due to limited numbers)
Items to bring:
- Base Plate Compass
- Closed comfortable shoes.
- Jeans/Long pants (spear grass area).
- Duct tape
- Sun screen
- Hat
- Torch (night orienteering).
- Pen
- Water bottle
- Large clip lock bag (a4 size)
- High lighter (yellow preferred. can share )
- Wet weather gear (large garbage bag can do)

MASTER GUIDE BIG DAY OUT

The Master Guide “Big Day Out” is an event organized by the South Queensland Youth Department along with our Pathfinder District Directors. On the day there will be presentations addressing the following areas: Group skills, Communication skills, Camping skills, Creativity & Resource Development and the Fundamentals of Club Leadership. All Master Guides must attend this day in order to complete the “New Skills Development” requirements of their course.
Venue: Brisbane Adventist College, Wishart Rd, Mansfield QLD
Start Time: 8.50am
Finish Time: 4.00am
Provided: Refreshments, booklets and resources.
Bring: Pen, LUNCH
PATHFINDER RALLY & FAIR DAY WEEKEND 2012
Pathfinder Rally - Saturday June 2nd
Venue: NORTHPINE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE Gymnasium , 29 Hughes Rd East, Dakabin QLD 4503
Time: 10AM
FULL DRESS UNIFORM required for Rally Day. Australian Union Conference Uniform Policy Download Here. If you require uniforms these can be purcahsed from the Adventist Book Centre. To assist in sewing patches in the correct places a diagram of the Pathfinder Unifrom can be Downloaded Here.
Pathfinder Fair - Sunday June 3rd
Venue: NORTHPINE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE Oval, 29 Hughes Rd East, Dakabin QLD 4503
Time: 9.00am
Field Uniform required for Fair Day unless a member of the Colour Guard. Those in the Colour Guard must wear Full Dress Unifrom for their duties.

TEEN EXPEDITION - CANOEING
June 23rd - July 1st 2012
If you are a Pathfinder in the Ranger, Voyager or Guide Pathfinder Class than this expedition is for you!!
Visit one of the loveliest coastal regions of Queensland. From our starting point at Middle Creek all the way to Hummock Hill Island, it’s an unspoiled and remote area full of exciting things to see and do.
To participate in this experience you will need to have completed the Canoeing Honour and Swimming Intermediate Honour.
COST: Teen - $120, Staff – $70 (this does not include Canoe/Kayak Hire of approximately $50-$70 or your food & equipment)
